So I stopped doing the foundry thing, temporary or permanent I don't know (well I'm still working via phone and email, consulting). I can't afford to go to the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) or the Art Institute of Atlanta but I did enroll in the local tech school's Culinary Arts program.
This blog is about my trials in school, cooking at home and food in general. I may digress occasionally but hope to stick mainly to the topic.

FINALLY !!!
The Christmas gift is FINISHED!!!
At least two years late. Originally supposed to be a Mother's Day gift. Then a birthday gift. Then a Christmas gift. Then repeat.
Now I can get back to the rest of my backlog of pressing things to do, like fix the leaky on carb on my motorcycle.
Thanks. Rather odd for a guy to do cross stitch, I know. I started about 5 years ago as something to do when staying in hotels. I was on the road 3-5 days a week at the time. It kept me sober and out of the bars and out of trouble which I can't claim for the time prior to that.
I think it is cool and not odd at all. Traveling does weird things to your head-believe me I know(I've traveled to all but 2 of the 50 states and halfway around the world)-and anything you can find to keep you sane and connected to your life is good.
Wow! That was an ambitious project. Cross stitch can be tedious. Looks good, I know your Mom will like it.
