Ideas Sought

I need to come up with something besides hot dogs for Christmas dinner. Only three of us so I'm not interested in roasting a turkey. Any ideas welcome and appreciated!

Am I the only one who despises these Lexus Christmas commercials? ESPECIALLY the one with the pompous little bitch who got a pony.

Get one of those ham steaks and doll it up with glaze just like you would a big ham, not the same I know but still good(no cracklins and that is a shame)We use sweet pickle juice, brown sugar, ground cloves and yellow mustard in amounts that appeal to our taste. And make mashed potatoes since you didn't have any at Thanksgiving. And creamed corn-I love creamed corn and it is a rare treat. Wait, does that go with potatos? Who cares it's Christmas. Something green, maybe english peas from the freezer? Sounds good to me. And bread, do sourdough rolls enough to make sandwiches with later. Hmm, and red jello cause it's fun and I love jello too-with whipped cream of course. Yummy yummy!

Is the pony in the driveway? With a red bow? I end up watching kids shows all day and night so I get to watch commercials about wax strings and bedazzlers and my little pony and crap like that. Not many car commercials in that neck of the woods.

Pony's in the living room and as a little girl she is waxing on how it is the best gift ever at the same time rubbing her best friend's nose in it. And then morph's into her saying the same thing with a Lexus in the driveway, with a red bow.

I got a deal on a big ass pork loin roast, 50% off! so I think that is what we'll do for Christmas. Now I just have to figure out how.

Scary thing is, we know a little girl who is identical (in character) to the little bitch in the commercial. She's going to be a bitch when she is an adult, that's for sure. We love her now, but who knows how she and Rose will get along as adults. I know Rose will never have a pony (but maybe a really nice car one day).
